Coronavirus – Stay At Home Ideas

Coronavirus – Stay At Home Ideas

Together we are going through one of the most challenging and heartbreaking times the world has ever seen. The time to support each other more than ever is now. Let’s grow stronger together as part of the community, care for each other, motivate each other and live by example.

Be grateful

With more people working from home, more challenges are faced – Lack of personal space, noisy family members or neighbours, a disruptive internet or phone connection, miscommunication between colleagues and the list goes on. Whilst being confined to a home office for an indefinite period presents its difficulties, it also serves as a timely reminder that we are the lucky ones who work in industries that continue to function and permit us to work from home. There are others like doctors, supermarket assistants and public servants who continue to increase their vulnerability through keeping essential services open, in addition to many industries forced to shut down leaving scores of people jobless.

Think outside the box

Many industries have been hit very hard by this crisis, requiring adaptation in their attempts to remodel their business ideas. Who would have thought of Instagram concerts a few month ago? I have seen some great ideas showcased by industries that have begun to think outside the box. I have listed a few of those here:

Health practitioners (Chiro, Physio, Psychologists) – Online consultation and videos

Entertainment – Online painting classes

Fitness – Online PT/Exercise programs

Retail – Deliveries of all sorts of goodies to your door

Automotive – Home pick up, repair and drop off car

Reinvent and grow together

Let’s be creative, let’s look forward and rethink how we support each other throughout these difficult times! I can’t wait to see how people unleash their innovativity. Let’s collaborate by sharing our ideas. If you have a great idea, don’t be shy. Sharing is caring!

Let me start – The other day I brainstormed all sorts of tasks and activities people can perform both virtually and at home. For some freaks like me, who like to keep a routine, I created a timetable to keep myself accountable. Feel free to download and print if you can.
